Someone Over at LH Scored Some Nice Altecs
A fellow New Yorker over at LH scored some nice vintage Altecs. A shame that only one person over there took the time to respond to him. I just ran across the thread last night and suggested that he post photos etc. here and he'll get some great assistance. Hope he's still reading that thread.....

The fellow in NY was selling them.
There is currently a written contract in force on them.
I'm trying to find some flood safe storage for the cabinets.

(from LH thread) "There were 5 until 2 were disassembled so that the 3/4 plywood could be used elsewhere (doh!......)" Ouch! that's like burning $100 bills to warm your hands!

What that is, is an indication of their value to their owner. That is the reality, don't be fooled by the value interjections of the armchair quarterbacks who are neither selling them, owning them, or buying them.
Local demand for A4 systems in upstate, NY couldn't get much closer to 0.
Get some shipping quotes for 7 foot tall 350lb speaker cabinets.
At the end of the day the value of those empty cabinets does not exceed the value of the plywood they're made of except to a very small handful of people, none of which live upstate.

If that thread had been posted here first, it's hard for me to believe that for the cost of a U-haul to the NYC metro area, that the net profit wouldn't be more than plywood value.
